Frequently Asked Questions

What Vue version does Carbon UI use?
Carbon UI uses the Vuetify v2 which currently is built on top of Vue v2. So for now the vue 3 composition API is not being used.
Does Carbon UI comes with a Nuxt starter?
Yes it does! Glad you asked. Carbon UI comes with a Vue and a Nuxt starter to ease your development steps.
Will Carbon UI be updated with Vuetify v3 (Vue 3 support) when it's released?
Yes! As soon as Vuetify v3 is released we will work to support it. That update will be totally free for existing customers.
What browsers does Carbon UI support?
The components in Carbon UI are designed to work in the latest, stable releases of all major browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
What does "free updates" include?
We're planning to add new Landing and Dashboard components regularly over time and all new components added to those categories will be totally free for existing customers.
How does the Unlimited license works?
As long as what you're building will be owned by the Carbon UI license holder, you can build as many sites as you want without ever having to buy an additional license.
Can I use Carbon UI for client projects?
Yes! You can use Carbon UI for basically anything — the only thing we disallow is using it to create derivative competing products.
Can I use Carbon UI for my own commercial projects?
Absolutely! Your license gives you permission to build as many of your own projects as you like, whether those are simple public websites or SaaS applications that end users need to pay to access.
Can I sell templates/themes I build with Carbon UI?
No, you cannot use Carbon UI to create derivative products like themes, UI kits, page builders, or anything else where you would be repackaging and redistributing our components for someone else to use to build their own sites.
